Lisa Stefaniak was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Moraine Valley Community College in a south suburb of Chicago with an Associate in Arts. In December 2014, she graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a BA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Photography.

Lisa was the former Gallery Manager and Co-Curator at Studio Oh! (2015-2021) and former Gallery Manager for Hofheimer Gallery (2018-2022). Lisa has shown in several galleries in the city including 33 Contemporary GalleryBeverly Arts CenterSouth Suburban College, and showPODs Exhibition of the Chicago Arts District. In 2008, she received an Honorable Mention Award and was published in the Best of College Photography Annual 2008 through Photographer's Forum. In 2011, Lisa was also featured and interviewed on the Artist Spotlight segment of South Suburban College's public access broadcast through Comcast Network. 

Lisa's work centers around portraiture and continually explores the dualities of identity and the connection of Self to nature. Her work contains and references surrealism elements and dreamlike imagery. She experiments with traditional and digital photographic manipulation, often intertwining the two.
